This guy should stay in his lane... saying crypto is very well designed to say in the shadows is total BS - most countries have regulated exchanges where on and off ramps are KYC/AML checked and if you ever want to convert it into your bank you can be sure those processes are in place. Not only that, but everything transaction is logged on chain, there is no getting around it. Cryptos are highly trackable unlike cash and im sick of these fools talking about subjects they clearly have little knowledge of.

Removing gold from the USA dollar was done with typical American arrogance. Don't TALK to the rest of the world, especially NOT the allied countries, and just change the whole system without any warning. That is SO familiar, especially now.
Iran war was done much the same way, with a huge influence from Netanyahu and the Israeli government. Don't bother TALKING to the other countries in the Middle East, nor any of the allied countries of the USA.
So, now the US president is saying he can undermine the sovreignty of Venezuela, Canada (trade talks completely derailed now) and is trying to undermine the European countries, as well as Japan.
NO, the US president should NEVER be given that much power over hundreds of other countries.

People have been going away from the dollar for awhile. Obama pretty much fired the first warning shots that the US would use the dollar as leverage. Trump did the same but with everybody and he does it for the same reason you claim. He thinks it's a problem because he does not really understand the economy. So now that people know there is no getting around being hurt if you even deal with the US, people simply flee the place. And no, it's not just countries, it's the private sector too. If the US can steal all your money because they don't like you, nobody will want to get that useless currency.

The USA financial situation is getting worse. By not letting intrest rates go higher you loan cheap for today but the bill will come. The USA cannot go bankrupt because all loans are in dollars. There is 100% debt to GDP. but what if GDP falls 10%? Inflation is already at 3-4% and the intrest on the debt is already high. The longer the intrest rates are not used, the cheaper the dollar will get. There will be a point you cannot outspend the debt anymore. The stockmarket will fall and everyone will see how much of a house of cards it is. Prepare for stagflation or even hyperinflation. the debt itself can be solved by just printing 40 trillion.

The longer this policy continues, the bigger the debt and the more people believe this inflated market, the bigger the bust will be.

It's amazing how history repeats itself; the big difference is that the White House's lying is much more obvious and delusional about trying to make it a Biden and Democrat problem, when both parties are responsible for this mess. Americans and other nations simply made the Dollar an idol.

The American economy is growing steadily, but the national debt is simply growing much faster due to persistent budget deficits. In theory, a country can grow out of its debt, provided that the economic growth rate is higher than the interest rate on the national debt. Due to the Federal Reserve's current high interest rats annual interest costs now exceed economic gains and the total debt-to-GDP ratio continues to rise. While the economy does generate additional wealth, it flows directly toward paying off the increasingly expensive interest. The big bet now is on AI. We'll soon discover how that will work out.

It's funny how people like Vance of Rubio came to Europe to warn us about the crisis of western civilization, without even realizing that the biggest issue, and by far, of the western civilization is this American administration. Sometimes I feel like Americans do not fully realize how much reputation and trust they're losing because of their president. It would probably be better if they elected instead a dog for president, and I mean a literal dog.

In short, throughout such length dealing with the dollar. Especially, it's AI age where the most speedy, accurate, reliable accountant mostly can not beat AI. The rest of the world at the baby's step establish financial organizations to stir away from the dollar system. Growing pain of course, but with choice tiding up with the dollar system where US bearing $40 Trillions, the interest alone will shut down livelihoods of any involved party if they choose to be with US to jump off the cliff. And obviously, under Trump's lead, yes, Trump is talented of being a gifter, but clearly, he is not a talented man to come and save the world, especially, the US. Again, at sometimes, the rest of the world can agree to stop "taking advantage on US" because US' debt alone will very well taking advantage on US.

@UnscheduledProgram-z6g
The gold standard failed because the value of gold could not keep up with the value of all the other assets money buys. The basic functionality of "sovereign money" was turned upside down in 1913 when the federal reserve system started. A functional dollar must be backed by all the assets it can buy. Not just gold. Typically, and ultimately, its the asset market value of the entire country that backs the currency it prints. If a country goes bankrupt it will be their marketable assets that are sold to pay their debt.

The USA never had to borrow a single penny. Its asset market value is around 211 trillion and it has 30 trillion yearly GDP of asset growth (yearly income), which is now well below what it owes in unnecessary debt. The only reason the USA is forced to borrow every penny it needs to operate is because its money system was highjacked by a international banking cartel that s married to wall street and makes its profits by debt and interest, and only serves the very wealthy.

Bankrupting a government is a rich mans dream come true. They will buy up all the public assets for pennies on the dollar and own the very ground you stand on.

If done right, your government could pay everyone a dividend just leveraging the GDP, rather than taxing you to pay a debt you never needed. The assets being leveraged to create the money is owned by the public and remains in their control to do with as they please. Essentially the public become bank vaults that accept dollars in exchange for the assets they control/own. Just like the gold standard did but using all the countries assets and decentralized. The US treasury could be the sole lender to the public by leveraging the remaining 211 trillion in reserves and use the interest income to fund government discretionary spending. You wouldn't need SSI or Medicare/Medicaid, because your yearly dividend would be $77,000 per year. Money becomes a public utility and not a debt bearing load skimming wealth from the country you contributed in building.

You really don't have to understand any of the above. All you have to do is ask a simple question. Why does a country that has 211 trillion in assets/equity and the sovereign right to print money have to borrow a single penny? Its absurd and its criminal.

In the 19th century, the British pound was the world reserve currency. Britain spearheaded the Industrial Revolution and became the 'Workshop of the World'. However, the sequence of global conflicts culminating in WWI and WWII devastated the UK economy under a massive debt burden. After WWII, the USA emerged as the global hegemon, and the US dollar took the crown. Its power wasn't just military—it was rooted in cutting-edge technology provided to the world. Later, the Internet Revolution boosted the financial sector, making capital cheaper and truly global. Today, Wall Street and the US financial elite are facing a structural shift. Hegemony follows technological dominance. As China rises with scalable tech, cheaper high-tech manufacturing, and its own supply chains, the foundation of US dominance is tested. If Chinese technology begins to offer cheaper, reliable products along with global security guarantees, the US will inevitably lose its unipolar status.

No one should want the crash to happen quickly because everyone would be hurt. The American era is ending regardless, for a basket of reasons, but the tRump fascist clown show is definitely speeding things up. They are the greatest debtor nation on earth and are spending money they don’t have hand over fist. It’s one of the reasons they want to annex Canada (and Greenland, Venezuela, Cuba) and steal our resources for free. The rest of the world can cooperate on managing the decline.
