He has no choice but to plead guilty since CNN, BBC and other western media broadcasted the evidence of his collusion worldwide.

When Joshua Wong and Nathan Law asked the US and UK to sanction Hong Kong and Mainland China, they crossed a line into outright foreign collusion against their own country. We warned them in Hong Kong, but they insulted us in return, as if they knew better.

Now look at the reality. The UK lied to them. They were promised comfortable lives in London for taking foreign backing, but the UK completely abandoned them to chase trade deals in Beijing instead. While those they lied to are facing trial in Hong Kong.
Even the ones who managed to flee are still wanted by Hong Kong authorities.

If you want to protest your government, never sell out to a foreign government. Protest and make the change with other citizens. Those who betray their own nation on behalf of another will spend the rest of their lives running and looking over their shoulders, until they are found.

Democracy is a rhetorical label used to smear China. Human rights in the US? American police have no qualms opening fire on you in the streets. The US itself is a deeply-flawed democracy. You have 2 equally rotten parties - Democrats and Republicans - and corruption is rife with congressmen lobbying for corporate interests in return for shameless bribes. American masses really have no sensible options. No wonder the vast numbers of voters choose not to exercise their voting right come time for Presidential elections. .

Poor kid got used by the west and discarded. China has the legitimate right after all. What a waste. Pity his parents. Luckily China is making him the main fall guy rather than prosecuting many more who blindly followed him. As the Chinese says… kill one chicken scare all monkeys. Hopefully Hong Kong people will channel their energy into making better lives for their children in a more productive way.

13 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will [a]bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake.

-Romans 13

It is the very tactic causing people to go to jail. However, she should be encouraging people to explore better Hong Kong with better unity with China and the rest of the world. Hong Kong was the train that led the China growing the business and manufacturing with the rest of the world. - The US holds an advantage in Venezuela and Cuba, THE USA must ensure fairness in investment cooperation and deliver tangible benefits to the populations of both nations.
- If the US can stabilize the Middle East—a region long plagued by instability—by compelling regional powers (including Iran, Israel, and Arab nations) to sign a nuclear non-proliferation treaty...
- If the US can disarm Hamas and Hezbollah while Israel withdraws its troops from Palestine and Lebanon, allowing UN peacekeeping forces to step in and maintain order in those areas...
- Greenland would only come under US control if its people voluntarily agreed or if the US purchased the territory.
- Achieving all of the above would boost President Trump's standing both within the US and across the globe
-The US and Russia are constantly preoccupied with war, further fueling animosity (while China focuses on developing its economy and science and technology to become the world's number one superpower)
