Matlala Trial | Kekana battles to have evidence obtained during arrest declared inadmissible

The High Court in Johannesburg has heard that the alleged gunman in the attempted murder case of Vusimuzi Matlala and others, had called someone to forcibly take him out of hospital.

Musa Kekana was admitted to Edenvale Hospital in Ekurhuleni under police guard after he needed medical attention during his 2024 arrest.

He is currently on trial with Matlala, Nthabiseng Nzama, Tsakani Matlala, and Tiego Mabusela for the attempted murders of socialite, Tebogo Thobejane, businessman, Joe Sibanyoni, and music producer, Seunkie Mokubung.

A trial-within-a-trial is hearing Kekana fight to have evidence obtained during his arrest, declared inadmissible in court.
