As a neutral observer from Singapore, I think Joshua and this Jimmy Lai should both get a lifetime behind bars. Traitors deserve nothing less, and they are definitively traitors to their own country.
I don’t think they will be too harsh on him, he was a just a mislead kid played by foreign government, used as a tool. If he would figure it out and claim that he was “brainwashed” by the cia or whatnot and say some patriotic stuff, he could get a relatively light sentence, and setting up a great example for “successful re-education”
