Student detained after gunshots fired in Thailand school; no casualties reported

A 15-year-old student was detained after allegedly firing gunshots at a school in Kamphaeng Phet, Thailand on Wednesday (Sep 2). No casualties were reported and police are investigating.

Local reports said the Grade 9 student had previously been called in for questioning by school officials after allegedly sending messages to a friend saying he planned to cause an incident at the school.

The incident comes less than a month after a deadly school shooting on the outskirts of Bangkok, in which 7 people were killed and 23 injured. #thailand #thailandnews
