The DA said "he couldn't pursue charges because Tiger had been taking prescription drugs for so long that his tolerance for them had gone up so much that impairment could not be proven." So moving forward if a lifelong alcoholic drinks a 26'er of vodka and flips his car after doing it, that alcoholic cannot be charged because HIS tolerance for alcohol is so high no DA will be able to prove that person was impaired. I hope every defense attorney in the country uses this DA's own words moving forward to defend their clients charged with impaired driving. Bad precedent.

They did charge him again for the first reckless driving charge, which is why the judge clearly stated when reading the charges, "second offence," and that is why he received a 5-year suspension of his driver's license. If he hadn't been hit with the "second offence" charge (which means he was hit again for the first one), he would most likely have only received 1-year of probation and a 1-year suspension of his DL.

A lot of Woods' problem is that he has never really had to face the consequences of his drug and alcohol abuse. He needs to face jail time,. even if 3 months, have his license permanently revoked, and be ordered to sell his automobiles. He needs to be permanently taken off the roads.
