A section of nurses in Kisii County have dismissed claims that leaders of the Kenya National Union of Nurses were attacked by goons during a demonstration over the ongoing nurses strike. Addressing journalists at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, Interim KNUN Secretary General Jerusha Nyamwange also dismissed reports that the strike had paralysed operations in public health facilities across the county. Nyamwange maintained that nurses remained on duty and continued to provide services, even as the union engages the county government over a raft of grievances.
