Mau Mau veterans demand the immediate release of compensation money

Mau Mau veterans are now demanding the immediate release of the compensation money from the British government following a 2003 court ruling that awarded them 396 trillion British pounds for atrocities they suffered during the colonial era. According to Mau Mau Original Trust National Chairman Joseph Ngacha Karani, several successive governments have not facilitated the release of the funds to the country's freedom fighters and their children. In a press conference held at the Jubilee Restoration Christian Church Njiru, the freedom fighters claimed the said money was surrendered to the World Bank after the freedom fighters won the case. Jubilee Restoration Christian Church Josephat Njoroge promised to push their pleas to the relevant authorities for action.
