KPA management accused of backing the ouster of Dock Workers Union officials

Kenya Ports Authority Management are being accused of backing the ouster of Dock Workers Union officials and interfering with the affairs of the union. This comes as the newly elected officials led by Abukar Mohamed Abdullahi, the secretary general, claimed that the former Secretary-General, Sulman Owuor, was among a group of 10 people who allegedly broke into the union offices and vandalised some of the facilities. The officials added that the incident was intended to destroy evidence relating to alleged financial impropriety. According to a report from Makupa Police Station, police arrested two suspects inside the premises, while others fled the scene.
