Public-private partnership for NC water security

Northern Cape mining houses have partnered with government to deal with water challenges around Gamagara local municipality in Kathu. The partnership will seen an investment of over R15 billion for the improvement of the Vaal Gamagara Bulk Water Supply Scheme in the next decade. The project will also include the construction of a reservoir.
Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, David Mahlobo conducted an oversight visit at the project for a progress report.
