NDR 2026: Singapore will not embrace new technologies blindly, says PM Wong

Singapore will not embrace new technologies blindly and will put in place appropriate safeguards as AI becomes more capable, said Prime Minister Lawrence Wong in his National Day Rally speech on Sunday (Aug 23).

He said Singapore will also work with countries and companies to build coalitions around practical safeguards, while ensuring that people remain in control.
