Multi-million rand insurance-related murder case

Three of the eight accused in the multi-million rand insurance-related murder case appearing at the Polokwane magistrate’s court. Accused number six, William Shokane who is now paralysed and using a wheelchair-bound is seeking his release on bail under new facts after he was denied in June.

He is appearing alongside his elder brother, accused number four, Johannes Shokane, who is expected to apply for a mental health assessment to re-apply for bail on new facts.

Accused number ten, Martha Ruiters who was granted ten thousand rand bail wants the court to reduce bail. Ruiters has been in custody after failing to pay for bail.
