* Former President Jacob Zuma has instructed his lawyers to appeal the judgment of the Pieterrmaritzburg High Court that the long running Arms deal trial must continue despite any further legal delays.

* The Commission's Recommendations Investigative Task Team has brought additional charges of defeating and obstructing the course of justice against Sergeant Fannie Nkosi. Sergeant Nkosi will appear before the Thohoyandou Magistrate's Court today.

* The Madlanga Commission is set to hear a recusal application filed by controversial businessman and alleged political fixer Brown Mogotsi against evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson. Mogotsi, who first appeared before the Commission late last year, has raised concerns regarding Chaskalson's conduct.

* US President Donald Trump says he hopes the relationship between the US and China "will be stronger" as he continues his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Trump's two-day visit to China is the first by a US president since his previous one, in 2017.
