LGE 2026 | Service delivery, unemployment and infrastructure key issues for Barberton voters

There are just a few hours left before voting stations close for the first day of the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC)'s Final Voter Registration weekend.

The IEC says so far, around 238000 voters have registered on Saturday, with 13.4 % of them, first-time voters.

The province of KwaZulu-Natal is leading the nation with the largest number of registrations at 55000, followed by the Eastern Cape with 46000, and Gauteng is in third with 41000 voters
