* IDAC Head, Advocate Andrea Johnson, who has over 30 years experience as a prosecutor, has been hauled over the coals at the Madlanga Commission. The focus was on her application of the law in IDAC's fraud and corruption case regarding the appointment of Brigadier Dineo Mokwele to Crime Intelligence.

* Bethwell Cele, a state witness in the attempted murder trial of alleged criminal kingpin, Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala and four others, has told the court that the vehicle carrying gunmen who shot businessman Joe Sibanyoni, had been trailing him before the botched hit.

* Parliament's Impeachment Committee has given itself another two days to appoint an evidence leader.
Members have decided the pool of available senior counsels is not big enough.

* Former National Assembly Speaker, and former Defence Minister, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, has pleaded not guilty in her corruption and money laundering trial. Bantu Holomisa was the first witness on the stand.

* President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, says women's football in Africa is an important as the men's game. Motsepe was speaking on the eve of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco which kicks off in Rabat on Sunday.
