EC chief accused of enforcing vigilante justice

Reports of mob justice against alleged criminals by a tribal court, allegedly operating under the command of a traditional leader, have emerged in the community of Mbuthweni outside emaXesibeni in the Eastern Cape.

Two young men were reportedly killed in seperate incidents, after being accused of rape and stealing a tub of margarine respectively.

Another resident is living in fear after being summoned to appear before the supposed traditional court. Nkululeko Nyembezi, visited the area and filed this report.
