Merafe Hostel residents endure months of raw sewage flowing through their homes

Residents of Merafe Hostel, one of the oldest in Soweto, are speaking out about what they describe as appalling living conditions.

Among their major concerns is raw sewage flowing through the walkways and some of the units.

The hostel is dilapidated and plagued by criminal activity, and residents say they are tired of repeatedly raising concerns that are never resolved.
